Troubleshooting
Renewing Connections
Bank connections can expire or become inactive over time. Renewing preserves all your existing configuration - account mappings, destination settings, and custom preferences.
When to renew
- Your connection has expired (expiry period varies by provider - GoCardless connections expire every 90 days)
- You're experiencing sync errors
- Your connection status shows as inactive
For GoCardless (UK & EU) users, Lunch Flow sends advance notification emails before expiration so you can renew proactively.
How to renew
Navigate to the Connections page
Click the Reconnect button on the connection you want to renew
Complete the reconnection prompts (the same flow as the initial setup)
You'll be returned to Lunch Flow automatically
After renewing
Two outcomes are possible:
- Automatic mapping: Your connection becomes Active with all settings intact
- Manual mapping: You'll need to map accounts from the new connection to your existing ones
Why renew instead of deleting?
Deleting and recreating a connection causes you to lose:
- Account configurations
- Destination mappings
- Custom sync settings
Renewing preserves all of these by matching accounts from your refreshed connection to your previous configuration.
